SANTO DOMINGO. The Presidential Press Director, Roberto Rodriguez Marchena, said last night that in the meeting of the Expanded Council of Ministers which will be held this morning, transcendental measures will be announced.
"I can tell you (reporters) that this first Council of Ministers will be something transcendental in the political history of the Dominican Republic," said the Presidential spokesman during a press conference held in the Orlando Martinez Hall of the Presidential Palace.
The first meeting of the Council of Ministers, which will be chaired by President Danilo Medina Sanchez, will take place at 10:00 a.m.
Rodriguez Marchena invited the reporters to share "this historic event which is going to make political and Dominican governmental history."
As part of the preparation for the Council of Ministers, President Medina Sanchez received last night the ministers of the Economy, Planning and Development, Temistocles Montas, and then the Minister for the Presidency, Gustavo Montalvo, and then several others.
