Police investigate case of hospitalized recruits due to exercise

SD. The Chief of Police, Major General Jose Armando Polanco Gomez, yesterday ordered una investigación regarding the case of several recruits that had to be hospitalized in the General Police Hospital due to training excesses. General Maximo Baez Aybar reported that Polanco Gomez appointed Brigadier General Frener Bello Arias, the inspector general of the National Police, and Doctor Colonel Wuascar Roa de los Santos, the director of Police Health.
Both high ranking officer have the duty to investigate the health situation of the recruits Ireno Guzman, 21, Alfreisy Rosa Corniel, also 21. Jessica Castaños, 18 and Rolando Ozuna also 18.
The four remain hospitalized in the General Police Hospital because of the health condition that resulted from the excesses during the training they were undergoing at the training school of the National Police in Hatillo, San Cristobal. By means of Memo 9865 General Bello Arias and Doctor Colonel Roa de los Santos are ordered to prepare a report.
