Foundation criticizes poor condition of cemeteries

This was the opinion of the Foundation for the Rescue and Cleanup of the Country's Cemeteries, an entity that hopes to help the city councils in the handling of the cemeteries of the country, with the aim of rescuing them for the "abandoned state" in which they are today.

The president of the foundation, Leonardo Suero, said that the project "pretends to preserve the collective memory, dignifying the surroundings and providing them with the security conditions that will allow the families to visit these spaces without being afraid of the attacks that occur today in the cemeteries," he said.

"In the cemeteries there are assaults, robberies, satanic rituals, and other shameful activities, because in these areas such as the Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) Cemetery with an area of five thousand square meters, there are only three watchmen that serve as security personnel," Suero complained. The Foundation said that they have a plan to change these bad aspects that affect the cemeteries.
