Assets belonging to Quirino and Figueroa Agosto will be auctioned

The National Committee Against Money Laundering (Concla) announced the sale of nine apartments, seven lots, three houses, eleven motor vehicles, a watch, and a catamaran that are part of the assets seized in several procedures against the laundering of assets and will be sold at public auction.

The assessed value of the articles is more than RD$210 million and the procedures of the auction began yesterday and will end on 15 May at the Attorney General's offices.

The details were offered during a press conference held at the headquarters of the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD), where the Attorney General of the Republic, Francisco Dominguez Brito, the chairman of the National Drug Council, Fidias Aristy, and the commander of the DNCD, Major General Julio Cesar Souffront and some others were gathered.

Fidias Aristy said that among the assets that would be on sale items seized from Quirino Ernesto Paulino Castillo, Jose David Figueroa Agosto and Emilio Mesa Beltre (El Gringo).

There are also properties seized from Fausto Ernesto Severino Marte (El Busi); Eligio Mercedes (Pepito), Alan Luis Quezada Santiago; Damián Enrique Brito; Yunior Silvestre Belliard, Juan Hubiera Mercedes (La Abeja) and Henry Manuel Ruiz. Aristy explained that among the assets that will be auctioned are three apartments and a house that belonged to Quirino Paulino Castillo, located in the National District.
