Five investigated for death of union boss Antonio Perez

Antonio Perez was found dead in his residence in Los Tres Ojos in ESD

SD. Police officers, assigned to the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim) took over the investigations to establish the circumstances in which union leader and merchant Antonio Perez Castillo, 70, was killed by blows from a blunt object to the head. His body was found by relatives on Wednesday afternoon in his residence in the Respaldo Los Tres Ojos sector of East Santo Domingo (ESD).

The Police reported that some five persons are being investigated in relation to the case, so that the will offer more details shortly.

The report indicates that employees of a tire store located next to the Perez residence were the ones who alerted family members to see why the store was not open. Given this situation, relatives of Perez Castillo went to the house and found their relative laying on the floor and bloody. They called the authorities immediately.

At the crime scene, the Police found a white, 2011 Prado Land Cruiser TKL, license plate G290102; a 12 ga. shotgun of an unknown type, with the number B9999861; four cell phones. They also found the wallet of the deceased with his personal documents, US$200 and RD$2,200.
