Judge of the SCJ will hear today Felix Bautista case
SANTO DOMINGO. The judge of Special Instruction of the Supreme Court of Justice, Frank Soto Sanchez, is ready to hear today a request to unblock a series of property assets of the Inmobiliaria Rofi S. R. L., whose principal shareholder is Senator Felix Bautista.

The magistrate set for 9:00 a.m. today, the continuation of the hearing of the process, after the Plenary of the SCJ rejected a challenge presented by the Attorney General of the Republic.

The defense of the Secretary of Organization of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) says that the Attorney General, Francisco Dominguez Brito, violated due process, by adopting a measure that the law attributes to the judges.

In consequence, Juan Antonio Delgado, Pedro Balbuena and Ramon Emilio Nuñez feel that the freezing of assets of the legislator becomes irregular.

The Attorney General asked for the rejection of the request for removing the warning notices on properties and that these be maintained. He said that they do not violate legal or constitutional dispositions, because they have basis in legitimacy.
