Normalization until 15 June for those born before 2011

SANTO DOMINGO. The Ministry of Interior and Police (MIP) reported that the offices of the National Plan of Normalization will work during Saturday, 31 January and Sunday, 1 February, so that those children of foreigners who are in an irregular immigration situation and who were born in the national territory before 18 April 2007 that have not been not registered in the book of births of foreigners, can enter the special regime contemplated in Law 169 - 14.

They made it clear that the Plan of Normalization will continue until 15 June so those foreigners that entered Dominican territory before 19 October 2011, can normalize their immigration status.

The services will be offered starting at 8:00 in the morning in the offices of the National Plan of Normalization of Foreigners which function in the Governor's office in Puerto Plata, Santiago, Mao, La Vega, Constanza, San Francisco de Macoris, Nagua, Samana, San Juan de la Maguana, Pedernales, Barahona, Azua, Bani and San Cristobal.

In addition, the procedure can be carried out in San Pedro de Macoris, La Romana, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, El Seibo, Higüey and in East Santo Domingo, next to the provincial Governor's office, in North Santo Domingo, as well as in the Juan Pablo Duarte Government office building.
