Starting tomorrow Diario Libre will publish Greenberg - DL survey

SANTO DOMINGO. Diario Libre will start, beginning tomorrow, the publication of its renowned Greenburg - Diario Libre survey, on the present condition of national politics.

The sample for the survey was taken at the national level between 3 and 8 March. The survey interviewed 1007 adult Dominicans and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1% and a 95% confidence level.

The Greenburg - Diario Libre survey was the most accurate in predicting the outcome of the 2012 elections which gave the victory to the candidate from the Dominican Liberation Party, Danilo Medina, over his opponent, Hipolito Mejia, from the Dominican Revolutionary Party.

The tradition of the political surveys carried out by press agencies was initiated in the country by the extinct magazine "Rumbo" which belong to the editorial group which today edits the Diario Libre.

The first Greenburg - Diario libre survey corresponding to the 2016 elections, was carried out in the month of October 2014 and this information will be contrasted with that collected in the current survey in order to determine which possible candidates have increased their popularity or decreased their popularity in the public's opinion.

The survey will also analyze the issues of reelection, the positioning of the candidates within the different parties and the impact that the statements by the convicted drug trafficker Quirino Ernesto Castillo Paulino have had on the election scene.

The survey will be published in several installments.
