Government entities congratulate reporters
SANTO DOMINGO. The President of the Republic Danilo Medina, leaders of the principal political parties, and corporations, congratulated the reporters and journalists on the celebration yesterday of their day in the Dominican Republic.

Medina said that the journalists exercise a noble profession of reporting and guiding the citizens, sticking to the truth, with the purpose of constituting an authentic promoter of the welfare of society.

Vice President Margarita Cedeño de Fernandez also said that she sends heartfelt congratulations to the reporters and called upon them to continue the titanic but beautiful work of seeking information."

Former President Leonel Fernandez stressed that the ethical work by the reporters contributes to the collective welfare, assisting in strengthening the democratic system and the formation of citizens.

The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) highlighted the efforts of the governments of this party to guarantee the respect for the freedom of expression and diffusion of thoughts.

For his part, Miguel Vargas Maldonado, the president of the Dominican Revolutionary Party, indicated that this organization always has felt satisfied by the work which, as an actor of the first order in the conquest of freedom and the construction of democracy, the reporters have worked in their sacred mission to inform.

Federico Antun Batlle, the President of the Social Christian Reformists Party, says that the Dominican press has been characterized by its adherents to the truth and in defense of the best interests of the nation.

The Chancellor Andres Navarro, also congratulated the newspaper personnel on their day and said that the Dominican social communicators carry out a praiseworthy and essential work in favor of democracy, public liberties, citizens rights and the social development of the people.

The Directorate General of Communication (Dicom) said that it congratulates the journalist way responsible, supportive and curious exercise "that allows us each day to disseminate the actions in public policies which the government pursues."

Francisco Javier Garcia, the Minister of Tourism, asked God to grant the professional and personal dreams of the reporters.

The director of the AMET, general Pablo Arturo Pujols, indicated that the reporters are the example for all of the society as they offer each day of just of information, which contributes towards a better nation.

The National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), congratulated the newspaper workers, saying that with their objective and reliable reports they contribute for a better democracy.
