The President travels today to Guatemala for SICA meeting
SANTO DOMINGO. Dominican President Danilo Medina will travel today to Guatemala where he will participate in the XLV Ordinary Summit of Chiefs of State and of Government of the System of Central American Integration (SICA).

The Chief of State will leave at 6:00 in the morning from the San Isidro Air Base, but the Presidency did not report which officials would accompany the President.

Besides the SICA meeting, the President will also take part in the Summit of Chiefs of State and of Government of the Mechanisms of Dialogue and Consensus - Building of Tuxtla, together with his counterparts from Columbia, Juan Manuel Santos and Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto.

Unofficially, it was reported that President Danilo Medina would also return today from Guatemala using the same San Isidro Air Base, but the Directorate of Communication did not confirm this information.

It was not reported whether or not Medina would speak before either meeting in order to explain what the country is doing with regard to immigration.
