Martha Heredia receives post-op treatment in cell
SANTIAGO. Martha Heredia received post-operative treatment in her cell in the Palace of Justice in Santiago, after her lawyer created an incident during the hearing that sought to order preventive measures against the artist, alleging that because of medical recommendations she should be treated in a private medical facility.

Lawyer Felix Portes said that, although the treatment is dangerous due to the place in which she is located, his client has improved considerably, so that it is in the hands of the court to establish a new date for the hearing on the coercive measures. Felix Portes insisted in his statement that there was a medical recommendation that the artist be hospitalized in a clinic, issued by the medical center which carried out the plastic surgery, but he did not want to identify either the place or the alleged doctor who signed the recommendation.

In relation to the supposed search carried out by the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) in the houses of Martha's parents, the spokesman for the agency in Santiago, Abel Rojas, just said that this is what he called "an invention," or a rumor. "The DNCD has not searched anyplace, everything that they are saying beyond that is pure speculation," said the spokesman.

Regarding this, Portes said that the message he wrote on Twitter was misunderstood, when he said: "DNCD appear illegally at the house of MH relatives, without order or prosecutors, to harass without presence of lawyers."
