Francina Hungria transferred to the US: parents reiterate their gratitude
With this trip there is hope to save the left eye

SD. The engineer Francina Humgria left yesterday for the city of Miami, where doctors will try to save her left eye, affected by the shot that she received in the face eight days ago. The right eye was lost as a result of the shot that was fired by two persons who have yet to be identified.
The young woman was taken from the Dr. Abel Gonzalez Medical Center for Advanced Medicine after 4:00 in the afternoon. She went to the Joaquin Balaguer International Airport in El Higüero, and from there she was taken in an air ambulance owned by Helidosa, together with her mother, Iluminada Hernandez and the senator from the province of San Juan de la Maguana, Felix Bautista, to Miami.
She will be taken to the Bacon Palmer Ophthalmological Institute at the Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Before she left, the young woman asked the people to keep praying for her, because this is what keeps her strong.
In the meantime, her parents once again thanked the Dominican people for the show of solidarity and left the solution of the case in the hands of the National Police.
For his part, Bautista called the work by the Dominican doctors excellent and said he was satisfied by the solidarity of the Dominicans with regard to this case.
Yesterday morning, the Santiago lawyer, Jordi Veras, who two years ago lost one of his eyes to an attempt on his life by hitmen, visited Hungria in a show of solidarity.
He said the he more than anyone understands her situation but the fact that she is alive is thanks to God that He allowed her to survive and that He is talking to her.
He added that, the same as happened with him, the Dominicans are praying for her. In the social networks there is a call for prayers so that Hungria does not lose the sight in her left eye.
