Presidente announces Festival artists

SANTO DOMINGO. There was a four year wait for the Latin heart of the Presidente Festival to start beating. This occurred on Wednesday night at the La Fiesta Theater of the Hotel Jaragua with the announcement of the artists that will accompany the Dominican musicians and singers on the 27, 28 and 29 August.
Javier Aisa, marketing manager for Presidente Beer gave the welcome: "From the beginning, now over a decade old, the Presidente Festival of Latin Music has contributed to the revitalize our commercial, tourist and cultural activities. It has contributed to the technical development and driven our country brand-name in foreign lands, making the Dominican Republic the music capital of the continent with each celebration of this great event".
Marisol Martinez, the brand manager, revealed the details of what promised to be an unprecedented event because of the technical display.
The stage will be designed so that the public all over the stadium will feel and live the music as if they were on stage. More than 500 lights will work together with 15 types of different technologies.
This will be the first presentation of the ‘street merengue' in this type of event, along with rock, pop, ballads and reggeton.
On Friday, 27 August: Juanes, Omega, Don Omar, Pavel Nuñez and Wason Brazoban.
On Saturday, 28 August: Tito el Bambino, Luis Enrique, Luis Fonsi, and Juan Luis Guerra.
On Sunday, 29 August: Wisin and Yandel, Camila Gilberto Santa Rosa, Fernando Villalona, Eddy Herrera, Sergio Vargas and Milly Quezada.
