UASD suspends classes at central campus

The FED does not back the march against privatization of the UASD

SD. The Dominican Student Federation (FED) which is headed by Ambiorix Rosario, does not back the march called for today at 10:00 a.m. by the so-called "Committee for the Fight against Privatization" of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.

In the meantime, as a precautionary measure, the rector of the "First University of America", Mateo Aquino Febrillet, announced the suspension of all work at the Central Campus, alleging that the march was called by "sectors that insist on destabilizing the state university."

The march will start from Independence Park

Rosario and Febrillet agree that the priority is to conserve the climate of peace and tranquility.

The FED president said that he was committed to peace and harmony so that the semester is not lost. He reported that he agreed with the Rector that a commission be appointed to investigate the cases of student punishments.
