KANSAS CITY.- Albert Pujols, Mister Consistency, hit two homeruns yesterday to bring his total number of multi-homer games to 28, tying him with Mark McGuire in the history of Saint Louis.

The Cardinals defeated the Kansas City Royals 12-5, and Pujols batted in six of these runs, now reaching 68 RBIs and 26 homeruns. He hit 4 for 5 and upped his average to .329. Pujols tied Stan Musial's team mark of nine lifetime grand slams and with his three this season he has tied the record shared with Jim Bottomley (1925) and Keith Hernandez (1977) and Fernando Tatis (1999).
