Danilo declares RD$21 million; Cedeño RD$23 million

SANTO SOMINGO. President Danilo Medina Sanchez has a personal fortune of some RD$21,609,279, according to the sworn declaration that he filed on 13 September 2012, nearly a month after taking office.
At the same time, the Vice-President of the Republic, Margarita Cedeño de Fernandez declared assets for nearly RD$24 million: RD$23,748,032.
According to the sworn statement prepared by Notary Public Ingrid Soraya Mendoza, President Medina swore under oath that he has a checking account at the Banco de Reservas with RD$309,278.31.
Likewise that he has urban properties worth RD$3.500,000 on Principe Negro Street, in the El Rosal residences, and another with a value of RD$12,000,000 on Cibao Oeste Street in the AR apartments.
Likewise, the President declared that he has three vehicles, including a 2002 Nissan Patrol SUV valued at RD$300,000; a 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser valued at RD$500,000, and a 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser valued at RD$2,000,000.
He also declared that he has home furnishings worth RD$3,000,000. According to the document of his sworn declaration, the President has a salary of RD$135,000.
A notarized act by Notary Public Cristian Pimental Dume says that the Vice President, Margarita Cedeño de Fernandez, presented personal assets consisting of an apartment of the seventh floor of the Cohisa VI Condominium valued at RD$7,277,011.
There is another apartment on the eighth floor of the Ariston Tower, appraised at RD$7,300,000. And there is a portion of land in San Felipe, Villa Mella.
Likewise, there is a savings account in dollars for US$22.286, which at RD$38.85, equals RD$865,811, another one with US$19,144, equal to RD$394,094 and another one with US$758, equal to RD$29,448, and one in Euros equal to RD$2,641,036.

The Vice President of the Republic declared among her assets a savings accounts for RD$753,860 and RD$54,385, and a checking account with RD$82,397.
She declared personal property and furnishings worth RD$2,150,000 and total assets worth RD$23,748,032. Her total debts are a mortgage for RD$124,249.
Total worth for the Vice President was stated as RD$23.623,783. The sworn statement of the Vice President, the same as the President, was done on 13 September. Both documents were delivered to the National Treasury.
