Danilo will announce on Wednesday the Public Safety Plan
SANTO DOMINGO. On Wednesday of next week, President Danilo Medina will tell the country of the breadth of the National Public Safety Plan, a project that the President announced for the second week in March, during his speech to the National Assembly last 27 February.

On this day, at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the President will address the nation from the Caryatides Hall of the Presidential Palace and talk about this plan. He will also talk about the plan to reform the organic law of the National Police which will be submitted to the National Congress.

This was reported yesterday in the Presidential Palace by the Minister of the Interior and the Police, Jose Ramon Fadul, who did not go into more details of the proposal, but he did indicate that after the announcement by the President, he would explain in the media the importance of the measures.

"We expect that this plan will satisfy the expectation of the people and that in the practice it will demonstrate the efficiency of the measures and if there are corrections to be made, at the proper moment, it will be rectified because this is a plan that is not only governmental but it also contemplates involving all of the sectors of the national life," he said.

On other issues, he criticized the fact that the different states are not part of the International Court of Human Rights, a situation that impedes the governments to file some type of petition related to some of the complaints that are filed.
