Denial that Palace private was assailant
A source revealed that he slept in a residence near the presidential house

SD.- The private in the Presidential Guard, Saul Feliz, killed the morning of last Monday by National Police agents, was not an assailant, and had probably spent the night in a residence near to where the incident took place.
A source from the Presidential Palace revealed to Diario Libre that the soldier frequently slept in a residence on Don Bosco Street, but he said that he did not know the relation of the soldier with the owners or residents.
For her part, Aurin Feliz Polanco, the private's mother, assured reporters that on the Friday before his death Saul Feliz left his house heading to the Presidential Palace, in spite of the fact that the commander of the Presidential Guard said that the private should have presented himself for duty on Monday.
The mother and other relatives were surprised that the private was not on duty this weekend, when at the time of his death he was carrying the portable radio issued to the Presidential Guard and his sidearm. "He was not permitted to go home with those items; they kept them when he was off duty. What's more, when they called him to report for duty, it was to our cell phone, because he had a chip for a cell phone but he didn't even have a phone", said the mother.
The report issued by the Police that day says that at the time of his death the police seized both items from the dead body. And the police agents were responding to a call for help because of an assault.
Diario Libre has tried by different means to contact Juan Morales, the alleged victim of the assault. Maorales is also the owner of the house that is for sale at the corner of Galvan and Mexico Avenue, where the chain of events that led to the death of the private started.
For his part, the commander of the Presidential Guard, General Jose Manuel Frias Rodriguez, called the killing last Monday of the member of the Presidential advance team, an isolated incident.
