Martha Heredia makes the finals
A tough fight is expected in the final round that will take place on 10 December

BUENOS AIRES. The young Dominican Martha Heredia and the Costa Rican Eduardo Aguirre made it to the finals of the popular musical reality show Latin American Idol.
To judge by the messages gathered on the website of the followers of the musical competition and the praises of the jury for the two young artists, a very tight battle is foreseen in the final round that will take place next 10 December.
Heredia, 18 years old, was the youngest of the last three competitors, and received comments such as "You are incredible" from jury members Jon Secada, Mimi and Oscar Mediavilla for her performance.
The young Dominican reaches the final elimination round after having sang her version of "Lagrimas Negras" (Black tears) by Cuban Miguel Matamoros and "Y volveré" (I will return) a popular song by the Angeles Negros group of the 1970s.
Aguirre, just 19, surprised with his voice as he interpreted "No tengo dinero" (I don't have money) by the Mexican Juan Gabriel, and "Yo soy aquel" (I am the one) by the Spanish singer Raphael.
The two finalists of Latin American Idol were elected yesterday by the votes of viewers from all over the continent and in the competitor's homelands.
