PLD Political Committee meets today
It is the first time that Fernandez and Medina are seen together in public since 19 April

SANTO DOMINGO. The Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party will meet tonight to deal with the organization of the internal nomination process, beginning with the agreements signed internally and with the Dominican Revolutionary Party.
The invitation is for 7:00 at night, one hour before the usual hour, in order to have more time to discuss the greatest amount of pending issues.
This is the first time that the most important PLD group gets together since last 19 April when it was decided to take the road for the reelection of President Danilo Medina which ended with the proclamation of the Constitution that reestablished presidential reelection for one term and never again.
The 35 members of the Political Committee will review the 15 point agreement which permitted a certain level of understanding between the party president, Leonel Fernandez and the nation's President Danilo Medina.
The meeting has created great speculation, above all among the aspiring congressional and municipal candidates, who are up in the air, after an agreement reached with the Dominican Revolutionary Party of which they ignore most of the details.
The Senate President, and recording Secretary of the Political Committee, Cristina Lizardo, said that generally, the issues are not released before the meeting.
She said that they are presented at the table and that many of them are taken from the reports that are presented at the beginning of the session.
