Storm in US forces cancellation of 19 flights
Jet Blue flights to New York, Boston and Orlando affected

AILA. A total of 19 flights coming from and going to the United States from the Dominican Republic were cancelled after a huge storm was forecast to affect the eastern part of the country.
The flights on Jet Blue, which has the largest operation from the Dominican Republic to the United States, were showing as cancelled on the signboards at the major airports of the country, among which are Las Americas International, Gregorio Luperon in Puerto Plata and the Cibao International in Santiago.
Up until now, the other airlines that operate from the Dominican Republic to the north have not reported any changes in their flights.
In the meantime, Aerodom reported the flights that would be affected on 21 and 22 January. The cities affected and that have connections with the DR, via Jet Blue are New York, Boston, San Juan, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
The flights cancelled from AILA were 510 and 410 to New York; 238 and 2038 to San Juan; 1048 to Fort Lauderdale and 1706 to Orlando.
In the meantime, for today the cancelled flights are 829 from Boston, which leaves as 830; 37 and 537 from San Juan; 1705 from Orlando; 1049 from Fort Lauderdale as well as flights 509 and 09 from New York.
And from the Gregorio Luperon International Airport, the affected flights on Tuesday were 627 and 628 from and to New York City, and for today Wednesday, flight 628 to New York has been cancelled.
