The "Big Bang" for reelection takes over PLD Presidential House and tinges Political Committee
Slogans favoring Danilo Medina and Leonel Fernandez greeted members of PLD summit

SANTO DOMINGO. The speculations regarding whether the Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) would deal with or not the issue of reelection last night converted the Presidential House of the PLD into the "Big Bang" of the two groups, who with signs and slogans struggled to strengthen the position of Leonel Fernandez and "the four more years" of Danilo Medina.
The neighbors along the quiet Doctor Piñeyro St., in the University Zone, where the party leadership headquarters is located, possibly never imagined such proselytizing, when some two hours before the 8 o'clock start of the meeting, just one man tried to call for attention.
"I am here, because with Leonel Fernandez the change of everything began, in education, in the country's progress," said Cristian de los Santos, who around 6:40 in the afternoon held up a piece of cardboard on which he had written "No to reelection: we go forward with the Lion."
Some 10 minutes before the first member of the CP had arrived, José Ramon Fadul (Monchy). He reiterated that they would not be dealing with any electoral issues, but who also stated: "If a comrade wants to speak of reelection, it is his right, and cannot be impeded."
At 7:00 p.m. a group appeared with enormous signs painted white and with messages in red letters. "You don't change the good, Danilo continues. Stalin Lebron stands firm." "Do you know who Stalin Lebron is?" However, it appears that they did not know the former aspiring candidate for deputy for the PRSC who was convicted in 2002 to serve 10 years for killing an activist of his party. He was pardoned the following year.
The party leaders begin to arrive: Jaime David Fernandez, Cristina Lizardo, Francisco Javier Garcia, Reinaldo Pared Perez (the Secretary-General), Bautista Rojas Gomez, José Joaquin Bido Medina, Franklin Almeyda and Simon Lizardo.
Emotional shouting announces the arrival of Leonel Fernandez. It was 7:25 at night.
A second group has taken over the sidewalk across the street. Signs with photographs of Medina.
Francis Perez, who seven months ago was at the same place tied to a cross, kneels down next to the entry, lights two votive candles. "This is so President Danilo can be clear. Now these are not winds, but hurricanes from Leonel."
Ramon Ventura Camejo arrived at the place. He denies there is an agreement about not speaking of the reelection. He says he will present the issue. He is followed by Rafael Alburquerque, Alejandrina German, Felix Jimenez (Felucho), Ruben Bichara andthe Vice President Margarita Cedeño.
"Dinosaurs don't speak, they kick," says Euclides Gutierrez Felix. Radhames Camacho, Juan de los Santos, Radhames Jimenez and Temistocles Montas go inside.
A great uproar announces the arrival of the President, at 7:55 at night. "The Chief has arrived!", They shouted. At once the shouting began: "Four more years! Danilo is the one!"
In the midst of the clamor which blocked the street, Miriam Cabral, Gonzalo Castillo, Cesar Pina Toribio, Alma Fernandez, Lidio Cadet, Julio Cesar Valentin, Abel Martinez and Eduardo Selman enter unnoticed.
On a corner, on the Padre Pina Street, a short man with glasses organizes another group. He divides them. The first group marches towards the Presidential House with signs in favor of Leonel. The other group goes behind with signs in favor of Danilo. Both groups face off with their slogans for a few minutes. Then they withdraw.
The emotions are calmed down by PLD security agents; one of them takes the man with the glasses far away from the area. Inside the Presidential House the meeting begins.
