The Dominican Republic and the United States will sign a new extradition treaty today
SANTO DOMINGO. Today the new extradition treaty will be signed between the governments of the Dominican Republic and the United States, concerning which they have not specified details of the changes with relation to the former treaty.
The signing of the new treaty will been done at the seat of the Ministry of Foreign Relations (MIREX) between the Dominican Chancellor Andres Navarro and the United States ambassador James Brewster, in the presence of the Attorney General of the Republic Francisco Dominguez Brito.
Last Wednesday, the United States ambassador told reporters that this treaty would permit a greater collaboration between the two countries.
News of the formal agreement of the new Treaty for Extradition between the United States and the Dominican Republic was released last October.
