They disavow leaders of the PRM transacting a pact with the PRD

SANTO DOMINGO. The Executive Directors of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) discredited "any leader of the party at any level," trying to promote or carry out congressional or municipal alliances with the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD).

Andres Bautista, the party President, said that his priority and efforts are concentrated on the convention process which will take place in order to choose their presidential candidate and the candidates for Senators, deputies, mayors, council members, municipal directors and members to be presented as candidates in the next elections.

He warned the rank and file as well as party leaders that propose the creation of alliances without the authorization of the party makes them susceptible to be evaluated according to the PRM statutes "as disrespecting the organizational lines of command."

He said that those leaders that are "betting their all" could end up like "parrots on a stick," indicating that "the time has come to face with responsibility the improvement of the quality of national politics."

"The National Direction of the PRM does not have nor is it involved in any type of conversation regarding alliances, pacts or agreements with the PRD - MVM," he emphasized.

He said that they are dedicated to strengthening the agreements approved by the National Direction of the PRM with the Convergence For A Better Country, and the social forces committed to govern the country for the benefit of the middle and poor classes.
