Zelaya will be a neighbor of Los Cacicazgos

SANTO DOMINGO. The overthrown President of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, has become since yesterday, the most illustrious resident of the exclusive sector of Los Cacicazgos, where, apparently, he will live with his wife and his daughter.

The residence is located on Hatuey St. #42 of that sector, and is protected by members of the Presidential Guard of the Dominican Republic, the National Police and members of the National Investigation Department (DNI).

The luxurious mansion where the former Honduran chief of state will reside together with his family, belongs to Mrs. Chavela Mazara. It was not possible to find out how much rent will be paid by the government.

Zelaya arrived in the country last Wednesday, accompanying President Leonel Fernandez who managed to achieve through negotiations with the in-coming Honduran President Porfirio Lobo, a safe-conduct pass for Zelaya and his family.

At first, the idea of Zelays and his family living in Casa de Campo was going around, since that is one of the most luxurious tourist centers in the world.

Zelaya was removed from office in June of last year in a coup d'état by the Honduran Armed Forces and taken in a plane to Costa Rica where he remained for a week. From there he travelled to several countries in search of support for his return to office.
