SANTO DOMINGO. President Danilo Medina congratulated the newspaper and other media journalists because today is the National Day of the Journalist, and he ratified that from his administration they would never break down the freedom of expression or the right to information "which we all deserve."
The Chief of State said, that at the same time he will maintain respect for dialogue and the free discussion of ideas as proper norms for finding solutions to the problems, within an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
"The occasion is favorable for expressing my deep appreciation and sincere respect for this profession, which in the day to day work provides great contributions to the development of the nation through objective information and observations adjusted to the truth of the facts," he said.
