SANTO DOMINGO.- Minister of Economy, Planning and Development Temistocles Montas suggested the issues of production, jobs, competitiveness to head the list of five points that the summit called by President Fernandez should talk about.
Montas, in a television interview, said that policies to support the productive sector are needed. The interview was part of a press release from the Dominican Liberation Party.
The principle organizer of the dialog process cited in second place the social policies of the government, "establishing for this year the imperative need to avoid going backwards in the indexes of poverty and inequality, as well as guaranteeing an adequate amount of social protection," according to the note.
