The politicians turn out to court Hatuey
De Camps was in a meeting yesterday with Soto Jimenez and will go to others
SD. The president of the Social Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRSD) Hatuey De Camps, has met with the two principle presidential candidates of the country over the past 48 hours, as well as with other political figures. These meeting were to try and formalize an alliance for the upcoming elections.
According to what was revealed by the politician himself last Wednesday, after holding a meeting with Hipolito Mejia, the candidate of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD), he did the same thing with the candidate of the government party's Danilo Medina. He defined both meetings as interesting and enriching. Yesterday De Camps also was visited by the president of the Fifth Republic Party, Jose Miguel Soto Jimenez, which he defined as a getting together to share and refine political ideas.
He took advantage of the scenario to predict that whoever he decides to join will win the elections.
Nonetheless, he made it clear that for the time being he is watching the political panorama and at the right time he will announce his support to the party that he likes.
In the meantime, he said that for now none of the candidates can consider themselves winners because the numbers indicate that there is a tie for all intents and purposes.
