DL writer wins journalism prize
SANTO DOMINGO.- The senior writer from the Diario Libre, Yvonny Alcantara (on the right) receives her plaque for having won the National Environmental Journalism Prize in the category of printed media, for her series of reports on sonic contamination "A City Sickened by the Noise".
The award is presented by the Minister of the Environment, Jaime David Fernandez Mirabal, the president of the jury, Margarita Cordero and Judith Ravin from the USAID. Tania Molina, another senior writer for the Diario Libre, received an Honorable Mention for her series of reports on "Duquesa stays in the body".
