Parties seeking recognition to be inspected

The JCE began with an operation that started at the Alianza Pais party and will continue to the other organizations

SANTO DOMINGO. After multiple complaints and four postponements of start-up dates, the Central Electoral Board (JCE), began yesterday the work of inspection of eight political parties and three movements who are seeking official recognition.

The verifications started with the Alianza Pais Party, in their offices in El Seibo, and will continue today in San Jose de Ocoa, Espaillat and Hato Mayor, continuing tomorrow, Thursday, in the provinces of Duarte, La Altagracia and Maria Trinidad Sanchez, and so continuing on Friday in San Juan de la Maguana, La Romana and Samana; on Saturday they will go to Peravia, Hermanas Mirabal and Sanchez Ramirez and on Sunday 21 June they will visit San Cristobal.

Apart from Alianza Pais, inspections will also be carried out on the Movement "First the People", the Movimiento Rebelde (Rebel Movement), the Green Party of Democratic Unity, the Christian Socialist Party, the National Hope Party, the National Salvation Party and the movement "Fatherland for all" (Patria para Todos).

In addition, the Conciliation Movement in the National District, the Community Political Action within the jurisdiction of the municipality of West Santo Domingo and Juventud Presente (Youth Present) in the province of Espaillat will also be verified and inspected.

Working on the verification process will be nine supervisors, 28 inspectors and 17 drivers who will carry out a 10-point route around the country.
